Bad news

So the conversation with my attorney didn't go exactly as I planned today... "You weren't planning on getting re-married any time soon were you? Ok, good... Because I've got some bad news... Are you sitting down? Well because of government cuts the court system is a little backed up... Well no, it used to be 9 months to get assigned a court hearing... it's a little longer... This isn't going to make you happy... Are you sitting down? Ok well turns out the courts backed up about 3 years to get divorce hearings..." :-o I can NOT believe I have to wait another 3 years to get divorced!

    Wow! That's bizarre. I recently went through a divorce in CA and it was finalized in 9 months. Including custody. But we banged out a settlement and skipped having the judge decide. So sorry to hear you have to deal with the drama.
