Today marks the official birthday of one of my favorite places, Disneyland!
And of course my daughter and I had to go celebrate.
Because 56 isn't one of the sexier milestones, Disneyland itself didn't do much to mark the occasion. There was a small ceremony at 2:30 p.m, during which Walt's opening speech (photo above) was played over the loudspeakers, and then Mickey, Minnie and Donald lead a cast member sing-along of "Happy Birthday."(photo on right)
I was a little bummed about the lack of a celebration, but over all my daughter and I had a good time.
