Veterans Bonus

Have you claimed your states veterans bonus yet? If not check out the list below of states veterans bonus' I uncovered. If your state's not listed below, that doesn't necessary mean that they don't offer a veterans bonus, it just means I didn't happen to find it.


West Virginia
$600.00 paid to veterans who served in a combat zone & received a campaign badge/expeditionary medal.
$400.00 bonus for active duty service outside the combat zone for Afghanistan and Iraq.
$2,000.00 for a surviving spouse or children of a veteran who was KIA.

Iowa
$17.50 for each month the person was in active duty service in the Vietnam service area

Ohio

New Hampshire
$100 to veterans of the Vietnam War, Persian Gulf War and the Global War on Terrorism.

Pennsylvania
$75 per month of eligible service for veterans who received the Southwest Asia Service Medal

$75 per month of qualifying active service during the Persian Gulf Conflict up to a maximum of $525

South Dakota
$500 for select active members an honorably discharged veterans of the Armed Forces who meet the membership criteria.

Illinois
$10 payment per month for World War II vets, who served domestically
$15 payment per month for World War II vets, for service on foreign soil
$100 is payable to service members who served during Korea, Vietnam or Persian Gulf.

  2. Lots and lots of goggling... I did a quick search for each state... Some states confused me by calling them Vietnam Veterans Bonus, but then int he fine print would state it was just from Vietnam through now... While other states listed the bonus' by specific war... I would just to a google search.
